"There is No Religion Higher Than Truth ..."   
2000 minted  Mint Condition.

  Produced in 1973 by the Lincoln Mint, this is one of a number of commemorate silver ingots struck for collectors during the "silver bar craze" of the early 1970s.  It is one of the most beautiful 1 oz. bars ever made!  The ingot contains one ounce of pure .999 silver. It is listed as LM-2 in the 1991 5th edition of, An Indexed Guide Book of Silver Art Bars, were it's priced at $25.00. The maximum authorized mintage was 2,000 pieces. The marketing of this collector's ingot was aimed at coin collectors; the result was that they (like so many other ingots and coins) experienced severe withdrawal from the collector market into the melting pots during the "great silver melts" of the late 1970s and 1980s (caused primarily by the run-up of silver prices by the Hunt brothers).  The ingot's low mintage, the effects of the silver melts and the popularity of the subject matter makes this one extremely collectable and an interesting addition to any collection.

   This is a flawless "cameo" proof-like strike; the backgrounds are perfect reflective "blazing-mirrors" (which show up jet-black in scans) and the designs are frosty white (which, of course show up white in scans).  The contrast between the mirror-like backgrounds and design is stunning!  It weighs one-ounce and is struck in .999 pure silver and measures 1.96" x 1.14" and weighs more than a U.S. Silver Dollar.
