This Set Is Rarely Ever Offered Anywhere!
This exciting commemorative coin and medal set was authorized by
the Republic Of Liberia and the
Roy Rogers Museum respectively! It represents the first time a
coinage die has been used to strike both a legal tender coin and medal to be
offered together in one set! Both pieces feature an exquisitely executed design of Roy
Rogers -- "King Of The Cowboys" -- on the obverse. The reverse
of the coin bears the coat of arms of the Republic Of Liberia and the
denomination $5 while the reverse of the medal bears an heraldic eagle on a
shield with an olive branch in right claw and a clutch of arrows in left.
Both the coin and medal
are absolutely beautiful pieces of incredible quality boasting flawless
"cameo" proof strikes. The backgrounds are perfect reflective
"blazing-mirrors" (which show up jet-black in scans) and the designs are frosty
white (which, of course show up white in scans). The contrast between the mirror-like
backgrounds and designs is stunning! The weight of each of the pieces is
approximately 26 grams.
Both are 39 mm in diameter (a bit larger than a US silver
dollar). Add this set to your collection today!
Two separate certificates
of authenticity like the one shown here is provided for both the coin and medal

One Ounce Pure Silver
This official 39 mm coin from
the Republic of Liberia features an exquisitely executed design of Roy Rogers --
"King Of The Cowboys." It is an absolutely beautiful pure
silver coin of incredible quality boasting a flawless
"cameo" proof strike. It is one of only
200 that were struck with a Liberian $5 reverse die (that was
originally used for the silver-clad series) in order to get some
"samples" struck while they awaited the new $20 reverse die that was
intended for this issue in pure silver (which in itself is a highly collectable
coin that can also be obtained from us).
This issue differs from the regular Roy Rogers coin of this
denomination in that it is one full troy ounce (31.1 grams) of silver and boasts
a reeded security edge*. The normal $5 coin is silver-clad (100 mil silver
over standard metal), weighs about 26 grams and has a plain edge.
The backgrounds are perfect reflective
"blazing-mirrors" (which show up jet-black in scans) and the designs
are frosty white (which, of course show up white in scans). The contrast between
the mirror-like backgrounds and designs is stunning! Add this one to your
collection today!
Comes encapsulated & boxed with a certificate of authenticity
Regular Retail Price - $150.00
Our Price $65.00
* Struck with a 3/4 reeded edge collar and edgemarked "Ag Trial Strike" to attest to its silver content and status as a trial strike.
